About Tilton Group

  Building homes is a way of life for the Tilton Family. Steve started in the building business when he was 10 years old, working with his father at construction projects on Hilton Head Island.

  Steve earned his degree in Architectural Engineering at Southern Polytechnical. After college, he returned to Hilton Head and started working with his father. In 1994 the Tilton Group was established. As a successful custom builder, the Tilton Group continues crafting the finest custom homes in the area.

As part of our commitment to our customers we work diligently to provide quality construction. A major component of our plan is "Value Engineering": building the best home for every dollar spent. Our homes include products that promote energy conservation and green construction materials and techniques. The Tilton Group is proud to be Earth Craft and Energy Star certified.

Helping us in this pursuit of excellence is our skilled team of subcontractors, most of whom have been with us more than ten years. Many of these subcontractors are "second generation" as their fathers worked for Tiltons. This ensures consistent quality for every Tilton home. Our vendors have worked with us to give finishing touches that make the home "yours". Our staff and all who work on our team are always available to assist throughout the building process. As a custom home builder we share the vision of our clients and partner with them to construct a home that combines their sense of quality and design and our demand of value engineering excellence. You and your home are our highest priority.

During construction we photograph the building process bi-weekly. We e-mail a photo album that includes current pictures to each client for their review and to share with friends and family. At the end of the project, we give each client a CD that include all photos taken, as a record of the construction of their home.

Our project directors are committed to ongoing quality control. We promise our clients the very best, complete and exacting attention to make their dream home a reality. When our clients call us friends, we feel we have reached our goals.
